Captain of the Super Eagles Ahmed Musa has said that he has a strong feeling that he will score against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Friday when they clash in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
Speaking after the Super Eagles training Tuesday morning at the Abuja National Stadium, Musa said while the ultimate will be to beat Egypt soundly in Kaduna, he has strong feelings that he will score at least one goal in the game.
“I am not desperate to score against Egypt but I get this inner feeling that I will register my name on the score sheet on Friday,” Musa told Completesportsnigeria.com. “The important thing is for us to play as a team and win the match but I will take my chance if it comes. We are determined to win here and go to for the return leg in Alexandria with all our might to get a result.
“We are not under pressure to beat Egypt because we are at home and our fans will be rooting for us all through the game. They should the ones under pressure because we shall go at them with all we have and ensure that they crumble.”
He stated that the Super Eagles have the quality and experience to pick the maximum points with a good win on Friday, adding that Ramoa’s Mohamed Salah and Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny do not scare the Nigerians at all.
