National Economic Council Retreat Holds In Abuja


The National Economic Council Retreat has commenced in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari opened the session.

The session provides a forum for in-depth discussions by members of the policy actions that the States and the Federal Government could consider in order to stimulate the economy.

Forum looks into avenues available to cut costs and enhance public revenues among other measures.

State governors, the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, the Budget and National Planning Minister, Udo Udoma, are among other top government functionaries at the retreat.
